The Tacoma Japanese Language School Oral Histories is a collection of oral histories about Nihongo Gakko, Tacoma’s Japanese Language School. These interviews with former students of the Tacoma Japanese Language School explore life and community in pre-war Tacoma's Japantown.
The oral history interviews were conducted by University of Washington Tacoma professors Dr. Lisa Hoffman and Dr. Mary Hanneman, and are the basis for their book Becoming Nisei.
